The Rural Citizen was started by J.N. Rogers and later renamed The Jacksboro Gazette. These first papers were small, 4 column papers. In 1882 the paper changed to a large 8 column format. Our microfilm for the pages below had 2 pages per slide (like an open book) (see first 2 images below). The pages on the images below those were separated, straightened, cropped, and the shadows from the book crease lightened. Most parts are readable. |
